Mission Statement The mission of The P.A.C.E. Fitness Foundation is to encourage, educate, inspire, and motivate children worldwide to adopt life-long habits toward a healthy lifestyle; to expand their knowledge of the world around them; and to pursue their goals and dreams with the abilities they possess. The P.A.C.E. Fitness Foundation aims to fulfill its mission via an array or projects and events. The foundation organizes and executes an annual “P.A.C.E. Trek” in which its founder and president, Paul Staso (an ultra-endurance athlete), crosses states and countries solo while virtually including children worldwide, using an Internet web site (www.pacetrek.com) as an online classroom to teach about locations, health and fitness, goal setting, and running. The foundation also participates in child-focused health and fitness fairs and conventions, as well as presenting at schools, conferences, and other appropriate settings. Other projects will be organized in the future to promote youth fitness at community, state, national and international levels. Educational curriculums are planned for development by the foundation to benefit school children, such curriculums promoting an active and healthy lifestyle. The foundation also foresees the publishing of materials relative to the purpose and projects of the foundation, including books, brochures, and other printed materials. Aside from it's "P.A.C.E. Trek" web site (www.pacetrek.com), the foundation maintains an online blog; a Facebook group; a YouTube profile of project/news videos; and an online Picasa Album of event pictures. |
