What Does P.A.C.E. Stand For?

Join Our Facebook Group!

The P.A.C.E. Fitness Foundation encourages, educates, inspires and motivates children worldwide to adopt life-long habits toward a healthy lifestyle; to expand their knowledge of the world around them; and, to pursue their goals and dreams with the abilities they possess. We invite you to explore this site, view pictures, and learn how we're working to achieve our mission.

This is a common question! P.A.C.E. stands for "Promoting Active Children Everywhere" and that is precisely what our non-profit organization aims to do through our unique and effective efforts. Our primary tool for promoting active children worldwide is our annual "P.A.C.E. Trek" journeys which allow children to virtually run and walk with ultra-endurance athlete Paul Staso as he actually treks solo across states/countries, teaching and motivating via an online classroom.

P.A.C.E. Founder and President, Paul Staso, completed a 506-mile solo run across the Mojave Desert between April 14 May 1, 2011 for P.A.C.E. Trek 2011. There were school teams from 9 countries who virtually took part in the 17-day trek from the Grand Canyon (Arizona) to Badwater Basin, Death Valley (California). Paul became the first person to run 500+ miles solo across the Mojave Desert, pushing a 100-pound stroller containing gear, food and water. The next journey will be in April 2013 and will be "SPACE P.A.C.E. 2013". School teachers can learn more about P.A.C.E. at www.pacetrek.com.
